No Poison Rodent Control
Do you have rodent related health problems? A first time visitor to your home may notice moldy smells and rat urine odors that are coming from your crawl space. People who live in these smelly homes usually do not notice the smells, but may be physically affected by the mold that is present in the crawl space. In many homes, about a third of the air in the living areas came from below. We recomend both passive and active ventilation systems to lower the crawl space humidity and improve the entire home air supply. Our thorough pest inspections look for, and document, the current conditions as well as problems that may be caused by moisture, mold, rodent chewing, and damaged insulation.

Rodent Removal & Space Treatment, using no poisons
A crawl space or attic that has rodents living in it needs to be treated carefully. Remediation of crawl spaces and attics is a multi part process that must first deny entry to rats and pests. There are are a number of diseases that can be present in the nesting areas of invading rats, mice, squirrels, cats and raccoons. Each of these animal diseases pose a risk to humans. This is especially true for our technicians who enter the crawl space and attics during our inspections. The cute squirrels that homeowners feed may carry the Sarcoptic Mange mite. Some of the other hazardous diseases associated with crawl space and attic work are Tularemia, Brucellosis, Leptospirosis, Histoplasmosis, Psittacosis, Hantavirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidiosis, Salmonellosis and Campylobacteriosis. These are all diseases associated with having an unhealthy crawl space or attic area in your home.
Crawl Space Water
It is common in Portland Oregon to have excess moisture in a crawl space. This water can come from a several sources. The slope of the ground around your house can be a contributing factor. Clogged gutters and downspouts will pour water along side of your foundation and that water ends up in your crawl space.
